I started StickySquamatoes in medical school as a lifelong dream to keep and breed reptiles. I grew up loving all animals, but reptiles had me especially fascinated, and now that I'm an adult... I can do what I want, lol.
My goal is to advance the husbandry of pet reptiles and educate people about the importance of preserving the natural world, because she is our home. I live at the crossroads of two communities I love: keepers who give their reptiles the best lives possible, and breeders who geek out over morphs, genetics, and the order Squamata. This site is built for both.
Every animal I produce comes from documented lineage, I can tell you exactly who their parents are and which traits got passed down. All of my adult animals live in planted, bioactive enclosures with a real cleanup crew. Whether you're picking up your first Crestie or adding a high-end holdback to your project, you're getting an animal that's been hand-raised, photo-documented, and treated like family.
Meet the handsome dude in the photo: Glove, my first panther chameleon (Furcifer pardalis) and the reason this whole thing exists. He's followed by Uncle Velvet (the other blue cham in the studio gallery), a close friendship that started later and shows no signs of slowing down. 💚
📚 Fun fact for fellow nerds:
Squamata is the largest order of reptiles, every lizard and snake on Earth. Squamates are members of that order. Now say the last two syllables out loud: squama-TOES 🦎. It's a pun on the geckos' famously sticky toes. It's taxonomy. It's a dad joke. It's a little goofy. So am I.
